Black Roast Co. started in a small garage in 2019 with one mission: to reclaim the dark roast. For too long, “dark roast” meant burnt, bitter, and low quality. We set out to change that perception.
Using state-of-the-art drum roasters and a meticulous obsession with temperature curves, we developed a roasting style that caramelizes sugars deep within the bean without turning them into carbon. The result is a coffee that is bold, rich, and surprisingly smooth.
